As luck would have it… this video shows that the advice given on many blogs actually works! They say, that in the case of Black bears, making very loud noise can actually fend them off. I don’t know if the woman screaming knew this was an actual tactic or if she was operating on instinct. This poor bear decided that the Mercedes joy ride was a ride NOT worth taking with noise like that!

You can find many sites giving advice, and some of the advice is conflicting, so it’s really important that you do your own research, and figure out your game plan before you are ever in the situation.

However, they are all  in consensus on the one thing you don’t do… ever… and that is run!

Many sites recommend to make loud noise when trying to deter a bear attack:

Hello World! The generic WordPress welcome message is actually appropriate! Hello World, as I introduce Freeze, Flee, Fight or Friend?

It’s been an exciting process that started with deciding to self-publish this book idea I have had for 5 years. Why now? Because I am on lock down like everyone else! It has been a reflective time filled with self awareness, spirituality, and focus. And with absolute clarity… “the time is now”… spoke to me.  Oh, and the stimulus check helped.

There was a seed planted a year ago, when I met my Artist, Laurah at a friend’s birthday party. I fell in love with her art, and could envision her brilliant mind bringing to life my characters. The image in this post is her doodle that hooked me after explaining the book concept to her only once.

Desire, timing, and desire…oh I said that… well that’s why we are here. Hopefully, as things move along smoothly, we are hoping to have a book launch late summer. In the meantime… follow us to keep updated.
